The purpose of student council at East is to "serve and represent the student body". We meet during a fourth period class, called Student Leadership.

For freshmen looking to serve a semester on student council, elections are held in December, and for everyone, they are held in April. Each class has two Male Representatives, two Female Representatives, a President, a Vice President and a Secretary/Treasurer. 

Student council is a great oppurtunity to get involved in many different facets of student life here at East. If you are interested in running or being appointed, come see us anytime in Room 100.

East has always had a head boy and head girl. These student represent not a particular class, but rather the entire student body. (If you are interested in the history of East, we have a musuem in the clock tower, run by our in-house historian, Dick Nelson).

The head boy and head girl serve as co-presidents of student council.

The executive council consists of the head boy and head girl, all class presidents and the student activities director.
