Attention all Student Council Members 08/01/2011
July 28, 2011 Dear Student Council members, I hope you all are having an enjoyable summer. I am looking forward to an exciting year on council full of new ideas and energy. Below you will find a list of important dates where you attendance will be required, the required reading and a list of supplies. Oh Joy!! Please fill free to give me a call if you have any questions. My cell # should be in your phone. (I do not ever accept text messages to excuse your self from an event.) Supplies: 1. 1 RED 2-pocket folder. It may have tabs, but no binders/rings! 2. 1 package of markers, 1 roll of masking tape & 1 pair of scissors 3. Book: Roberts Rules of Order Assignment: Read chapters 1-4 in Roberts Rules Dates: Your attendance is highly recommended at the following events: Þ 8/3 8/4 freshmen registration 12-3 you must work 1 of these days. Contact your class pres. and let them know which day you will work. Þ 8/5 senior registration 7:30- 11 or 12-3 Choose 1 session and let your president know Þ 8/8 soph. registration 7:30-11 or 12-3. Choose 1 session and let your president know Þ 8/9 junior registration 7:30-11 or 12-3. Choose 1 session and let your president know. NOTE: during registration you will be selling your class “stuff” as well as helping out with the registration process. Plan on working. Þ 8/18 all hands on deck for freshmen orientation. Wear your school spirit; I want you to stand out! Finally, remember that serving on council is a privilege and a responsibility. You have been elected or appointed to serve your fellow classmates. You are their voice! We have some large tasks ahead of us this year; therefore, planning, organization and flexibility is key to the success of our program. Enjoy the remaining month.
